Alas! Using expired Hair Products

I was preparing my hair for co-washing on Saturday, 14th May 2016, I had read somewhere that applying products to dry hair gets more absorbed into the hair against applying hair products to wet hair, so i decided to apply Herbal Essence hello hydration to my dry hair before jumping into the bath.

While using the last drops of what was left in the tube, i decided to check the container to see what size it was in-order to repurchase as there is 10.1 oz and 13.5 oz, but what did i discover?, it had expired since 2014. I screamed, WHAT!? I have had this conditioner since 2012, it expired and i did not know. I rushed to the bath and quickly wash it away from my hair as i can not handle any set back at this point.

I had to start going through my stack of hair products to check the ones that have expired, and i found that my products where expiring on me and i did not even take note of it, some did not have expiry date but I tossed them out anyways if I had bought a long time ago. I really felt bad as some of these products still have quite some amount of products in them.

I have tons of hair products which I use in rotation, some don't get used for a long while until it rotates back to them Loolz.

So am wondering how to manage the rest of my products so they do not expire on me.

I am throwing this to products junkies out there, have u checked your products expiry dates lately?
